About Amnat Charoen
Where the Isan area meets the neighboring country laos you find one of Thailand's youngest provinces. Even if the city Amnat Charoen bin around since King Rama III, wasn't the area registered as a province until 1993.
The river Khong who passes along the province makes a natural boarder to the neighboring province Ubonthani in the south.The nature in this area is considered of great natural beauty. The nature park Don Chao Pu is also considered extremely beautiful. Here you find trees more then a hundred years old. The park is also fore giving many monkeys a place to live in.
