About Chumphon

Chumphon province is bordering to Myanmar (Burma) to the west and the Siam bay in the east. Chumphon is often described as a "travel port" between the central and southern Thailand.

Although the rainy season here statistically is relatively long (June-November) are often the temperature at a constant and comfortable level. The beaches along the twenty-mil-long coastal strip can be described as good, and the number of tourists who visit them are still rather limited. The most famous beach is Ao Thung Wua Laen and is located approximately 15 km north of Chumphon town.

The smaller islands off the coast are suitable for fishing and diving. The nature of the province's western part consists of highly hilly terrain, while the central part is characterized by dense forest and large agricultural fields.

Attractions

Koh Mattra is a quite large island with beautiful beaches, cliffs and coral reefs.

Ao Thung Wua Laen is a long beach, which many considered to be the most beautiful in Chumpons.
