About Krabi
Krabi is one of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations. The province is located in the southwestern part of Thailand and is known for its clear blue-green water and its beautiful special nature of large rocks.
The province's largest city is Krabi Town and is located about 815 km south of the capital, Bangkok. Several popular beaches stretching along the coast. One of these is the Ao Nang bay to the west of Krabi Town. There are approximately 130 islands in the province and many of the islands have beautiful sandy beaches. One such example is chicken island (Koh gai). In the area there are also several national parks. The province was hit hard by the tsunami in December 2004, but nature has recovered in most places.
