About Krabi
Krabi is one of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations. The province is located in the southwestern part of Thailand and is known for its clear blue-green water and its beautiful special nature of large rocks.
The province's largest city is Krabi Town and is located about 815 km south of the capital, Bangkok. Several popular beaches stretching along the coast. One of these is the Ao Nang bay to the west of Krabi Town. There are approximately 130 islands in the province and many of the islands have beautiful sandy beaches. One such example is chicken island (Koh gai). In the area there are also several national parks. The province was hit hard by the tsunami in December 2004, but nature has recovered in most places.

Attractions
Koh Phi Phi consists of six islands which together form the province's diving paradise and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. One of these islands is Phi Phi Le, which became known from the movie The Beach witch was recorded on one of the island's beaches (Maya). Phi Phi is known for its clear waters and rich marin life. Islands are easy to reach by boat from both Krabi and Phuket.
Krabi Town is suitable for shopping and overnight stay. The city is a good starting point for tourists who have there holiday in the area. The province's popular beaches and islands are easily reached from the city.
Ao Nang is a large bay to the west of Krabi Town. Even here, there are plenty of resorts, bungalows and restaurants.
