About Lampang
About 600 km north of Bangkok is the province of Lampang. One of Thailand's busiest train lines, on the Bangkok - Chang Mai, passing just before its final destination, right across the province.
Archaeological finds from prehistoric civilizations, together with Lampang training center for elephants is perhaps what made the province's most famous. The elephant´s main task is mainly to transport timber in hilly terrain. Dresser is done in the traditional manner and shows are held daily. Another feature of the province is that horse and wagon is still used as transport in the city.
