The temperature in the area can vary from very warm (April), to, in extreme cases, below zero(December).
In the mid-1800s were, despite the fact that there were a large number of people here, no major city in the area. Rama the fourth that currently governed the country felt that a city was necessary and decided, after detached observers proposal, the city of Loei were raised on the strategically most suitable location. But it took, however, an additional more than fifty years before Loei, 1907 was classified as a separated province. Today many festivals and ceremonies are held here.
