About Phetchaburi
Phetchaburi is located in the central parts of Thailand. The province border to the Gulf of Thailand to the east and to Myanmar to the west. In the province you find several caves, the most famous cave is Khao Luang and it´s located near the capital. Inside the cave you find several Buddha statues.
The old royal city of Phetchaburi dates back to the Mon era. Later on the Khmer settled the area. King Mongkut build a palace near the city of Phetchaburi in 1860, the palace is known as Khao Wang but it´s official name is Phra Nakhon Khiri.
Mo-kaeng that's made from flour, sugar and eggs and A-lua and Sampanni and this sweets are made from flour and sugar.

Attractions
Maruekhathaiyawan Palace This wooden palace was ones the summer residence of King Rama VI in 1920. This palace is referred to as the palace of love and hope.
