About Phrae
One of northern Thailand's historically important area is the province of Phrae. The city is located 550 kilometer north of Bangkok, worked in the past as the capital of the Lanna Kingdom.
Although the province is completely surrounded by mountain ranges are Phrae's landscape essentially flat. Yom River runs from north to south and next to its sandy banks grow one of the nation's largest and densest teak forests.
As in many other areas of northern Thailand's provinces have craft work a long tradition. In Phrae manufactured mainly different fabric products and the most famous is Mo Hom and Pha Teen Jok.
