About Ranong
The long, narrow province of Ranong, are approximately 560 km south of Bangkok. Many travelers who want to visit the neighboring country Myanmar chooses to cross the border by boat from Ranong. Often, the purpose of these trips is to extend the Thai visa on a so-called visa run.
The nature on the mainland is composed of high mountains and large intact forests. Highest peak in the area is Khao Nom Sao and its extending to 1109 meters above sea level. One of the most popular unique natural attractions in the area is the hot springs in Raksawarin park.

Attractions
Hot springs with temperatures around 60-70 degrees. They are located two kilometers west of the city of Ranong.
Koh Song and Victoria Point is a small city in Myanmar (Burma) territory. The trip from Ranong is done by boat and takes only 30 min. Do not forget to take your passport and any visas.
Laem Son National Park is an exotic nature area south of the city of Ranong. Several beaches and pristine islands can be found in the more than 300 km ² large natural area.
