About Roi Et
In the northeastern part of Thailand you find the central province and city Roi Et. It is believed that the city was once formed by a king from Laos and his people emigrated from the town of Champasak and settled in the area.
The province is known for its flat landscape Thung Kula Rong. Unfortunately, this area during certain periods over the years suffered several major floods that more or less destroy the populations crops. The distance to Bangkok is 510 km and the route is operated daily by bus and air.
