About Sa Kaeo
Earlier was Sa Keao a district and was under the neighboring province of Prachin Buri. But in 1993, the district was upgraded to province and is today one of the youngest.
Bangkok is located about 220 kilometers to the west, while a 160 km long land border separates the province from Cambodia to the east. The area belonged to the ancient Khmer empire-empire, you can see it not least in the old temples and ruins that can be found in the area near the border.
A significant part of Thailand's trade with Cambodia goes throw Sa Keao and if you want to buy something, you can go to the limit market Ban Khiong Luk, some 50 kilometers east of the city. The province has several large bamboo plantation and the fast-growing grass is often used to manufacture furniture and household products.

Attractions
Pang Sida National Park is a beautiful forest which since 1982 has been classified as national park. Waterfalls and trekking tours are some of the park's main attractions. The area also has a rich wildlife with rare species of birds and freshwater crocodiles.
Netted Festival held in early April each year. The festival offers a large number of melon-related activities.
