About Samut Prakan
Samut Prakan is located in central Thailand, Bangkok is the neighbor in the west and north and in the east you find Chachoengsao. The new airport Suvarnabhumi international airport is located in the province.
Samut Prakan was created during the Ayutthaya era. Back in this days Samut Prakan worked as the sea port to siam and was real secured with forts and town walls.
The name Samut means ocean or Sea and Prakan means fortress.
Sum of the local products from Samut Prakan is Khanom Chak which is a sweet made from flour, coconut and suger. Pu Khai which is crab with eggs and then finally Pla Salit which is salted and dried snake skin.

Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo this is Thailand´s larges crocodile farm and it was established in 1950. The farm has over 60.000 crocodiles.
