About Sing Buri
At the Chao Phraya rivers west bank, about 150 kilometers north of Bangkok, lies the ancient town of Sing Buri. Before Rama the fifths time Sing Buri was the only one of three small river bank communities, which finally came to be today's Sing Buri. Rama V had also, with inspirition of European architecture, building two of the city's most original buildings, town hall and the old court. Both houses are still today in perfect condition.
In Sing Buri's water, you find the snake headed fish mullet, which is one of the province's most typical food products. The size of the fish and it´s good meat means that it often can be found at the city's restaurant menus. Khanome (Chinese cakes) and Kun Chiang (Chinese pork sausage) are also nice alternative for those who want to experience Sing Buri's typical cuisine.
