Popular tourist destinations: Ban Chiang National Museum, Baan Na Kha, Nong Prachak (park in Udon), Phra Phutthabat and Udon Saeng Tawan Orchid Garden.


About Udon Thani

About 550 kilometers north-east of Bangkok is the city and province of Udon Thani located. Communication with the capital, with train, bus, car or plane. This has made Udon Thani to one of northeastern Thailand's hubs. Night train with sleeping carts departs daily from Bangkok and travel time is about ten hours.

For a tourist visiting Udon Thani is the city's public park Nong Prachak, worth a visit. The area consists of a small lake and the local people visit the park frequently.




There have been people in the area for a long time. Over 6,000 years old archaeological remains have been found in the area and some of them can be witnessed at the National Museum in Ban Chiang.


Attractions

Nong Prachak is a peaceful park in central Udon Thani.

Ban Chiang museum is a museum of historical finds from the early Thai Bronze Age.
