About Yasothon
In eastern Isan, 530 kilometers north-east of Bangkok, one finds the city and province Yasathon. Rama the second gave during the early 1800s Ban To Sing the title city. Having grown over the century Ban Take Singh was in 1972 upgraded the country's 70th province and the new name was Yasothon. Chi-river flows through the province and along its shore bank outside the city is a two kilometer long beach. Several shops and food stands have grown up along the scenic area.
The easiest way to reach Yasathon is by bus and car, when the province lacks both a airport and a train station.

Attractions
A fire work festival called Bang Fai in Thai and is organized annually in the second week of May. The celebration lasts two days and its main attraction is the huge fire work witch is fired during the festival's second day. Besides the great light show held cultural dance show and beauty contests.
Ban Si Than lies about twenty miles outside the city and is known for its hand-made silk and cotton products.
